YCB Yachts took part in Regata Menorca Sant Joan, onboard the spectacular toy — Neo 350 “The Improbable”.

We had a good start, rounding 4th at the upwind buoy, approaching Menorca island among the leading boats — in real time only behind DK 46, MAT 12.45, and Farr 52; and having Shipman 72 and GP42 behind.

Probably not the best performance when rounding the island, with a lot of time spent in lulls and a dramatic stop at Cap Negre, just 2 nm from the finish, watching as all other boats passed from behind.

Finally, 7th in the offshore race overall and 2nd in ORC 3. Still one race to go and hope for a good overall result.

Apart from the podium, I’m really happy with my setup as an invited navigator. After changing three boats in three weeks, I am ready to come with my equipment on any boat, adjust the instruments, and provide navigation in the race.
