News from the Ice Yachts shipyard. The ICE 64 Explorer, a modification of the 62 model, designed for a long life on the water, including in places with limited access to service, is approaching the final stage of construction.
The Explorer, unlike the Targa, will not become my favorite model, but just like the Targa, it shows well the level of customization that Ice Yachts can offer. The main feature of the model is the rejection of a large garage, and the placement of a dinghy on the deck. With the aft arch and A-frame, the operation of launching and loading the dinghy becomes simple and convenient in any conditions. An even larger hardtop than on the Targa, with an increased area of solar panels (unfortunately, at the cost of elegance). The aft cabin in the Explorer is a transformer; if necessary, it turns into a full-fledged workshop.
It is worth noting that with Explorer Ice Yachts starting to actively use 48-volt systems, we have already received new specifications based on 48V and for other models. This makes sense, as I have written before, there is almost all the main equipment for 48V on the market, except dishwashers, washing machines, and air conditioners, and low-power NavCom and other electronics. Thrusters, winches, vertical refrigerators, pumps, water makers - all this is not a problem. My respects, Ice Yachts is again at the peak of healthy trends.
And, as always, in the core there is an extremely strong and lightweight hull, with a massive carbon structure. Good performance, boat control and easy sailing - are the main distinguishing features of Ice.
