HOW IT WORKS

1
Ideation and First Description
This stage is an exciting journey where we transform the owner's vision for their new boat into a detailed technical specification. We consider factors such as boat size, crew capacity, intended use, operating region, aesthetic preferences, and budget. With this information, we can identify the ideal shipyard that perfectly matches the project's requirements.
2
Planning and Budget Estimation
This crucial stage involves detailed preparation before signing the contract. We break down engineering and production into manageable stages, establish the budget and payment terms, and prepare all necessary documentation, including ownership, certifications, and flag registration, ensuring a smooth journey to carefree navigation.
3
Project and Yacht Production
At this stage, the engineering project is developed. Depending on the complexity, this can take weeks to over half a year. Once the project is advanced enough, the production can be started, with YCB collaborating closely with the yacht designer and yard to ensure the final product meets the owner’s needs and top-quality standards.
4
Pre-Release Checkup
When the boat is in the water, we conduct a thorough checklist review, testing all systems for failures. This recursive process can take from a week to a couple of months.
5
Hand Over and Sailing Tests
The boat is delivered with all documents and user manuals. We conduct sail tests to ensure everything works perfectly, offering a week or more of sea tests near the yard, followed by delivery to the home port for a final check to ensure the yacht is ready for enjoyable ownership.

Pavel, ICE 62 Targa "Spice" yacht owner
I was very lucky to meet Sergey when I was choosing a new boat. He helped me a lot with the shipyard from design and construction to final finishing of the boat. The boat was completely custom, so we had to do a quite lot of final touches during the first year. And I really appreciate him taking the time to join me for the first 6,000 miles athletic sailing to test the boat in all conditions. He turned out to be a good experienced sailing buddy and a great guy. Obviously we became good friends :) I highly recommend him to anyone who loves the sailing life and boats and is looking for the perfect one.
  • Installation of flexible solar panels on a sailboat.
Joseph Garcia, owner of Dufour 470 "Carpe Diem"
I have had a very positive experience in engaging YCB to initially provide advice and then go on to design and install a 660w flexible solar panel solution to my boat.

I had a specific requirement to maintain the aesthetic appearance of our boat and gave YCB the challenge of achieving that. The proprietor of the company gave my request his personal attention and designed a very innovative solution that gave me the the most efficient and effective result, split over two solar arrays for redundancy and importantly, met my aesthetic specification.

The is a great company, they directly organised the sub contractor arrangements and ultimately delivered a well designed, fit for purpose solution with fantastic customer service. They were very respectful of our boat during the installation and kept me fully briefed on matters as the installation proceeded.

The clincher is that the value for money for what they delivered was well worth it. Good customer service these days can sometimes be hard to find and these guys smashed it out of the park.

    Well done YCB
